Ingredients
  

Wet Ingredients
  • 1 cup mashed ripe bananas about 2-3 bananas
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Dry Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
Mix-ins
  • 1 cup chocolate chips semi-sweet or dark

Method
 

Prepare the Oven and Baking Sheet
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the mashed bananas, softened butter, and brown sugar until smooth.
Mix Wet Ingredients
  1. Add the egg and vanilla extract to the banana mixture and mix until well combined.
Combine Dry Ingredients
  1. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  2. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
Add Chocolate Chips
  1. Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
Bake the Cookies
  1. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  2. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  3. Remove from the oven and let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
