Ingredients
  

Salad Base
  • 2 cups green cabbage shredded
  • 1 cup carrots shredded
  • 1 cup red bell pepper thinly sliced
  • 1 cup cucumber thinly sliced
  • 1 cup fresh cilantro chopped
  • 1 large avocado diced
Dressing
  • 3 tablespoons lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce or tamari for gluten-free
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon maple syrup or honey
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional

Method
 

Prepare the Salad
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded cabbage, carrots, red bell pepper, cucumber, cilantro, and diced avocado.
  2. Toss gently to combine all the ingredients.
Make the Dressing
  1. In a small bowl, whisk together the lime juice, soy sauce, sesame oil, maple syrup, minced garlic, and red pepper flakes until well combined.
Combine and Serve
  1. Pour the dressing over the salad and toss gently to coat all the ingredients evenly.
  2. Serve immediately or chill in the refrigerator for 15 minutes before serving for enhanced flavors.
