Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/3 cup seasoned breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • to taste pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (for frying)
  • 1 medium onion (sliced or chopped)
  • 8 ounces cremini mushrooms (sliced)
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 1 3/4 cups beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Method
 

  1. Prep all ingredients before cooking to ensure a smooth process.
  2. Combine all beef patty ingredients except olive oil in a bowl and form into four patties.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet and fry patties for 5-6 minutes on each side until browned.
  4. Sauté onions and mushrooms in the same skillet until seared, about 7-9 minutes.
  5. Add butter to the skillet, then sprinkle in flour and cook for 1-2 minutes.
  6. Gradually whisk in beef broth to create a smooth gravy.
  7. Add Worcestershire sauce and garlic powder to the gravy and stir well.
  8. Combine cooked onions, mushrooms, and beef patties in the skillet and simmer for 5-7 minutes.
