Ingredients
  

Sandwich Components
  • 8 slices sourdough bread
  • 1 pound roast beef thinly sliced
  • 8 slices cheddar cheese sharp or mild
  • 4 tablespoons butter softened
Zesty Sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

Method
 

Prepare the Zesty Sauce
  1. In a small bowl, mix together Dijon mustard, mayonnaise, and Worcestershire sauce until well combined.
Assemble the Sandwiches
  1. Spread a thin layer of the zesty sauce on one side of each slice of sourdough bread.
  2. Layer the roast beef evenly on four slices of bread, then top with two slices of cheddar cheese each.
  3. Top with the remaining bread slices, sauce side down.
Cook the Sandwiches
  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add 1 tablespoon of butter.
  2. Once melted, place two sandwiches in the skillet and cook for about 3-4 minutes until golden brown.
  3. Flip the sandwiches, add another tablespoon of butter, and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until the cheese is melted and the bread is golden.
  4. Repeat with the remaining sandwiches.
Serve
  1. Slice the sandwiches in half and serve warm with your favorite side.
