Ingredients
  

  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 cups coarsely crushed pretzels
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 cup mustard-cheddar sauce recipe below

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  3. Set up a breading station with flour in one bowl, beaten eggs and Dijon mustard in another, and crushed pretzels in a third.
  4. Bread the chicken by dipping it in flour, then egg mixture, and finally coating it with crushed pretzels.
  5. Bake the coated chicken on the prepared baking sheet for 25-30 minutes until cooked through and golden brown.
  6. In a small saucepan, combine milk and Dijon mustard over medium heat, then add shredded cheddar cheese until melted and smooth.
  7. Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before serving, drizzling the mustard-cheddar sauce over each piece.
