Ingredients
  

For the Filling
  • 2 cups apples peeled, cored, and diced
  • 1 cup caramel sauce store-bought or homemade
  • 1 tsp cinnamon ground
  • 1 tsp nutmeg ground
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice freshly squeezed
For the Dough
  • 1 sheet puff pastry thawed
  • 1 egg egg beaten for egg wash
  • 1 tbsp sugar for sprinkling

Method
 

Prepare the Filling
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine diced apples, caramel sauce, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice. Mix well.
  2. Set aside to allow flavors to meld.
Prepare the Dough
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface and cut into 4 squares.
  3. Place a generous spoonful of the apple filling in the center of each square.
  4. Fold the corners of the pastry over the filling to create a sealed bomb shape.
  5. Brush the tops with beaten egg and sprinkle with sugar.
Bake the Bombs
  1. Place the pie bombs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  2. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
  3. Remove from oven and let cool slightly before serving.
