Loaded Baked Potato Chip Dip

Ingredients
  

  • 2 packages cream cheese softened to room temperature (8 oz each)
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 6 green onions sliced, divided
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese divided
  • 3/4 cup cooked and crumbled bacon divided

Method
 

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and sour cream. Blend until smooth and creamy.
  2. Stir in 5 sliced green onions, 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese, and half of the cooked bacon bits.
  3. Spread the mixture evenly into a deep dish pie plate or a baking dish.
  4. Sprinkle the remaining cheese over the top of the dip mixture.
  5. Cover with plastic wrap and microwave for about 5 minutes, or bake in an oven preheated to 375°F (190°C) for about 20 minutes.
  6. Top with the remaining green onions and any leftover bacon bits before serving.
  7. Serve immediately with your favorite potato chips.
