Method
Prepare the Crust
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). In a mixing bowl, combine melted butter, brown sugar, flour, and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.
- Press the mixture into the bottom of a greased 9x13 inch baking pan to form an even layer.
Make the Filling
- In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, corn syrup, granulated sugar, salt, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Stir in the chopped pecans until evenly distributed.
Bake the Bars
- Pour the pecan filling over the crust in the baking pan, spreading it evenly.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until the filling is set and the top is golden brown.
- Allow to cool completely before cutting into bars.
