Ingredients
  

Protein
  • 1 lb ground beef 80/20 blend for best flavor
Vegetables
  • 4 cups broccoli florets fresh or frozen
Seasonings
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp salt to taste
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper to taste
Fats
  • 2 tbsp olive oil or butter for cooking
Cheese
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese for topping

Method
 

Cook the Beef
  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  2. Break the meat apart with a spatula as it cooks.
Add Broccoli
  1. Once the beef is browned, add the broccoli florets to the skillet.
  2. Stir in garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Cover and cook for an additional 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until broccoli is tender.
Add Cheese
  1. Remove the skillet from heat and sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the top.
  2. Cover again for a few minutes until the cheese is melted.
Serve
  1. Serve hot, garnished with additional pepper if desired.
