Ingredients
  

Bacon Mixture
  • 6 slices bacon thick-cut, cooked until crispy
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup for glazing
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper freshly cracked
Deviled Egg Filling
  • 6 large eggs hard-boiled and peeled
  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise preferably homemade
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard for flavor
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar for tanginess
  • 1 pinch salt to taste
  • 1 pinch cayenne pepper for a bit of heat
Garnish
  • 2 tablespoons chives finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon crispy bacon bits for topping

Method
 

Prepare the Bacon
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Place the bacon slices on a baking sheet and brush with maple syrup. Sprinkle black pepper on top.
  2. Bake for 15 minutes or until crispy. Remove from oven and let cool. Chop into small pieces.
Make the Deviled Egg Filling
  1. Slice the hard-boiled eggs in half lengthwise and remove the yolks. Place the yolks in a mixing bowl.
  2. Add mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, white vinegar, salt, and cayenne pepper to the yolks. Mash and mix until smooth.
Assemble the Deviled Eggs
  1. Spoon or pipe the yolk mixture back into the egg whites.
  2. Top each egg with crispy bacon bits and a sprinkle of chopped chives.
