Ingredients

  • 1 box triple chocolate cake mix
  • 2.5 cups flour
  • 2 cups warm water
  • 2.5 tsp active dry yeast
  • 1 tbsp canola oil
  • 0.5 cup unsalted sweet cream butter melted
  • 1 cup Mallo Bits plus more for topping
  • 2 tbsp cinnamon
  • 1.5-2 cups mini chocolate chips plus more for topping
  • 1 jar vegan marshmallows crème (7 oz)
  • 1 bottle chocolate sauce like Hershey's
  • 2 pieces disposable piping bags

Method

  1. Using a large mixing bowl, mix together the cake mix, flour, warm water, and yeast until slightly combined.
  2. Place the dough onto a floured surface and knead until it's smooth and bounces back when touched.
  3. Place the dough into a large glass bowl and brush the top and sides with canola oil. Cover it with a kitchen towel and let it sit for an hour.
  4. Place it back onto a floured surface and roll it out to about 1/8 inch thick.
  5. Brush your rolled-out dough with melted butter then sprinkle on Mallo Bits, mini chocolate chips, and cinnamon evenly across its surface.
  6. Roll your dough into a log shape tightly. Cut it into pieces about 1 ½ inches thick.
  7. Place your cut rolls into a baking dish and cover again for another hour while you preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  8. Bake those beauties for about 30 minutes or until golden brown on top.
  9. Allow them to cool for about 20 minutes before drizzling with chocolate sauce.
  10. Scoop some vegan marshmallows crème and heat it in intervals of 10–15 seconds until soft. Scoop into piping bags and drizzle generously over each roll.
  11. Sprinkle extra Mallo Bits and mini chocolate chips on top while everything's still melty.
