Ingredients
  

Beef and Marinade
  • 1 pound ground beef preferably lean
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce low sodium
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger grated
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
Vegetables
  • 2 cups broccoli florets steamed
  • 1 cup carrots sliced
  • 1 cup bell pepper sliced
Rice
  • 2 cups brown rice cooked
Garnish
  • 2 tablespoons green onions sliced
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds

Method
 

Prepare the Marinade
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, sesame oil, brown sugar, minced garlic, grated ginger, and black pepper. Mix well.
  2. Add ground beef to the marinade and mix until well coated. Let it marinate for at least 10 minutes.
Cook the Beef
  1. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated ground beef and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes, breaking it apart with a spatula.
Prepare the Vegetables
  1. In the same skillet, add sliced carrots and bell pepper to the cooked beef. Stir-fry for an additional 5 minutes until vegetables are tender.
Assemble the Bowl
  1. In serving bowls, layer cooked brown rice, followed by the beef and vegetable mixture. Top with steamed broccoli.
  2. Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds before serving.

Notes
