Ingredients
  

Cupcake Batter
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp salt
Slime Frosting
  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 1/2 tsp green food coloring or more to desired color
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
Garnish
  • 1/2 cup edible googly eyes
  • 1/4 cup black sprinkles

Method
 

Prepare Cupcake Batter
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Stir in the milk and vanilla extract.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  7. Spoon the batter into the prepared muffin tin, filling each cup about 2/3 full.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  9. Allow the cupcakes to cool completely on a wire rack.
Make Slime Frosting
  1. In a mixing bowl, beat the softened butter until creamy.
  2. Gradually add the powdered sugar, mixing on low speed until combined.
  3. Add the milk, vanilla extract, and green food coloring, then beat on high speed until fluffy.
Frost and Garnish Cupcakes
  1. Using a piping bag, pipe the green slime frosting onto the cooled cupcakes.
  2. Decorate with edible googly eyes and black sprinkles for a spooky effect.
