Ingredients

Dough
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 2 cups warm water about 110°F
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1/4 cup olive oil plus extra for drizzling
Toppings
  • 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary chopped
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt for sprinkling
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes halved

Method

Prepare the Dough
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. Add flour, salt, and olive oil to the yeast mixture. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
Shape and Bake
  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Once risen, punch down the dough and transfer it to a greased baking sheet. Stretch it out to fit the sheet.
  3. Dimple the surface of the dough with your fingers, then drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with rosemary, sea salt, and cherry tomatoes.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  5. Remove from the oven, let cool slightly, and cut into squares to serve.
