Method
Cook the Tortellini and Broccoli
- In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the tortellini and cook according to package instructions, about 3-5 minutes. In the last 2 minutes of cooking, add the broccoli florets. Drain and set aside.
- In the same pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
Prepare the Sauce
- Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in the Parmesan cheese, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
Combine and Serve
- Add the cooked tortellini, broccoli, and chicken to the sauce. Toss gently to coat everything in the creamy sauce. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until heated through.
- Serve immediately, garnished with additional Parmesan cheese if desired.
