Ingredients
  

Burger Patties
  • 1 pound ground beef 80/20 blend for best flavor
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Toppings
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese or your favorite cheese
  • 4 buns burger buns toasted
  • 1 cup lettuce shredded
  • 1 large tomato sliced
  • 1/2 cup pickles sliced
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise optional

Method
 

Prepare the Patties
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until just combined.
  2. Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into patties, making a slight indentation in the center of each patty.
Grill the Burgers
  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Place the patties on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium doneness.
  2. In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty and close the grill lid to melt the cheese.
Assemble the Burgers
  1. Toast the burger buns on the grill for about 1 minute until golden brown.
  2. Spread mayonnaise on the bottom half of each bun, then add the lettuce, tomato, and pickles.
  3. Place the grilled patties on top and cover with the top half of the bun. Serve immediately.
