Ingredients
  

Cheddar Bay Biscuit Dough
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup cold unsalted butter cubed
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 3/4 cup buttermilk
Crab Filling
  • 1 cup cooked crab meat shredded
  • 1/4 cup cream cheese softened
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley chopped
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
Lemon Butter
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

Method
 

Prepare the Biscuit Dough
  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, garlic powder, and salt.
  3. Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Stir in the cheddar cheese and buttermilk until just combined.
Make the Crab Filling
  1. In another bowl, mix together crab meat, cream cheese, mayonnaise, Old Bay seasoning, parsley, and lemon juice until well combined.
Assemble the Biscuits
  1. Scoop a tablespoon of biscuit dough and flatten it in your hand.
  2. Place a tablespoon of crab filling in the center and fold the dough over to seal it.
  3. Place the filled biscuit on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Repeat with remaining dough and filling.
Bake the Biscuits
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
Prepare Lemon Butter
  1. In a small bowl, mix melted butter, lemon juice, lemon zest, and garlic powder.
Serve
  1. Brush the warm biscuits with lemon butter before serving.
