Ingredients
  

Base Ingredients
  • 2 cups sweetened shredded coconut
  • 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
Topping Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips optional
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts optional

Method
 

Prepare the Mixture
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the shredded coconut, sweetened condensed milk, all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and salt.
  3. Mix until well combined.
Bake the Bars
  1. Grease a baking dish (8x8 inches) and pour the coconut mixture into it, spreading it evenly.
  2. Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes or until golden brown.
  3. If using, sprinkle chocolate chips and chopped nuts on top during the last 5 minutes of baking.
Cool and Serve
  1. Remove from the oven and let cool in the baking dish for at least 10 minutes.
  2. Cut into bars and serve.
