Ingredients
  

Dough
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour plus extra for dusting
  • 1 cup warm water about 110°F
  • 1 packet active dry yeast or 2 1/4 teaspoons
  • 1 tablespoon sugar to activate yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil plus more for greasing
Topping
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon butter melted

Method
 

Prepare the Dough
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. Add flour, salt, and olive oil to the yeast mixture. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
Shape and Bake
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Once the dough has risen, punch it down and spread it onto a greased baking sheet.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together the cinnamon, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the dough.
  4. Drizzle melted butter over the top. Use your fingers to create dimples in the dough.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown. Let cool slightly before serving.
