Method
Prepare the Bolognese Sauce
- In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
- Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, cooking until the onion is translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
- Stir in the crushed tomatoes, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
Cook the Gnocchi
- In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the gnocchi according to package instructions until they float to the top, about 2-3 minutes.
- Drain the gnocchi in a colander and set aside.
Assemble the Bake
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked gnocchi with the Bolognese sauce and half of the parmesan cheese.
- Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and top with mozzarella and cheddar cheese.
Bake
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
