Ingredients
  

Brownie Layer
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
Cheesecake Layer
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Method
 

Prepare Brownie Layer
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease the baking pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine melted butter and sugar. Mix well.
  3. Add eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
Prepare Cheesecake Layer
  1. In a separate bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth.
  2. Add sugar, egg, and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined and creamy.
Assemble and Bake
  1. Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan.
  2. Spread the cheesecake mixture over the brownie layer evenly.
  3. Top with the remaining brownie batter, swirling it slightly with a spatula.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  5. Allow to cool before slicing into squares and serving.

Notes
