Method
Prepare the Dough
- In a mixing bowl, combine mashed bananas, sugar, egg, milk, and melted butter. Mix well.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
Roll and Fill
- On a floured surface, roll out the dough into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick.
- Spread softened butter over the dough, then sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon mixture evenly.
- Starting from one edge, roll the dough tightly into a log and slice into 8 equal pieces.
Bake the Rolls
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Place the rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
Prepare the Glaze
- In a small bowl, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Drizzle the glaze over the warm cinnamon rolls before serving.
