Prepare the Ingredients
- Trim excess fat from the chuck roast and season it with salt, pepper, thyme, and rosemary.
- Chop the carrots, celery, onion, and mince the garlic.
Assemble in Slow Cooker
- Place the chopped vegetables in the bottom of the slow cooker.
- Add the seasoned chuck roast on top of the vegetables.
- Pour the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce over the roast.
Cook the Roast
- Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours until the meat is tender.
Serve
- Once cooked, remove the roast and vegetables from the slow cooker and let rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
- Serve with the cooking juices drizzled over the top.
