  • 3/4 cups confectioners’ sugar (for glaze)
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon (for glaze)
  • 2 tablespoons water (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8.5 x 4.5 inch loaf pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Cream softened butter, granulated sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
  4. Beat in eggs one at a time, then alternate adding dry ingredients and milk until just combined.
  5. Toss chopped apples with brown sugar and cinnamon; set aside.
  6. Layer half the batter in the pan, add half the apple mixture, swirl gently. Repeat layers.
  7. Bake for 45-55 minutes until golden brown; check doneness with a toothpick.
  8. Cool for 15 minutes before glazing with confectioners’ sugar mixed with water and cinnamon.
