  2. In a stand mixer, beat the cooled brown butter and sugars until fluffy.
  3. Add egg and vanilla; mix until smooth.
  4. Gradually add baking powder, baking soda, salt, and flour; mix just until combined.
  5. Fold in toffee bits gently.
  6. Chill dough for at least 1 hour.
  7. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Scoop dough onto lined baking sheets, sprinkle with sea salt, and bake for 11-13 minutes.
  8. Cool on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack.
